A prophetic dream occurs when a person receives some warning or prophecy while asleep. While Christians are forbidden to interpret dreams, prophetic dreams are usually very direct. People who have received or have interpreted prophetic dreams are, among others, Daniel the Prophet and Joseph the Carpenter.
