municipal bond
Municipal bonds, aka 'munis', are debt issued from the government, with a promise to pay back in the future. The reason why these munis become attractive for an investor is when they are seeking to preserve their capital at a tax-free rate(most of the time), while also receiving interest payments from that government.
Two types of munis exist: General Obligation Bonds (GO), and Revenue Bonds.
