It is a chartered university located in Lahore, Pakistan. It was developed to promote computer education but has expanded to provide certified degrees in fields that include Business Studies, Engineering, Pharmaceuticals, Architecture, Law, and Fashion and Design.

The University of South Asia comprises schools, colleges and institutes. They constitute a faculty within themselves and work in harmony with each other, still retaining their individual identity. These schools and colleges have their own head.
