Stephen of Dechani
Stephen of Dechani was king of Serbia from 1285 to 1331. Initially blinded by his father and banished to Istanbul, his sight was miraculously restored by St. Nicholas. He returned to Serbia and reclaimed his throne. He commissioned the majestic Dečani monastery which is functional even today. He was strangled to death on the orders of his son.
