State Judicial Administration of Ukraine

The State Judicial Administration of Ukraine is a state body which is called to provide organizational support to judicial authorities in Ukraine. According to Article 145 of the Law of Ukraine on Judicial System and Status of Judge, the State Judicial Administration is accountable before Congress of Judges of Ukraine.

The Law defines a number of the State Judicial Administration's powers. In particular, it acts as an intermediary authority between the courts, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, and the Verknovna Rada of Ukraine; provides due conditions for activities of courts of general jurisdiction as well as of the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine, the National School of Judges of Ukraine, and the judicial self-governmental formations; checks for the necessity of certain specialists for the judicial system, et al.
