BSCI

Business Social Compliance Initiative BSCI was launched in 2003 as an initiative of the Foreign Trade Association (FTA) in response to the increasing business demand for transparent and improved working conditions in the global supply chain.

The fundamental goals of BSCI are only achievable through a strong commitment from participants to implement the system.

he BSCI Code of Conduct based on 11 principles. These principles ensure a strong, credible and achievable commitment from both ourselves and the participants which will ultimately help us to achieve our goal. The 11 principles of BSCI Code of conducts are :

- The rights of freedom of association & collective bargaining.

- Protection of young workers.

- No discrimination.

- No precarious employment.

- Fair remuneration.

- No bonded labour.

- Protection of environment.

- Decent working hours.

- No child labour.

- Occupational health & safety.

- Ethical business behavior

The initial audit by BSCI auditors is repeated in every three years. If the initial audit shows non-compliances with the BSCI requirements, re-audits are performed to evaluate the corrective measures taken. All audits are exclusively conducted by SA8000 lead auditors accredited by Social Accountability Accreditation Services SAAS.
