The bird that is also known as the national symbol of USA. The bald eagle species name is Haliaeetus Leucocephalus, which derived from Greek (hali- = sea, aiētos = eagle, leuco- = white, cephalos = head), it literally means the white-head sea eagle. So the bald eagle is actually not bald, the word Leucocephalus described the white color on its head comparing to the brown color or the rest of its body.
