Quantization
A) The process of converting a continuous analogue input into a set of discrete output levels. b) A process in which the continuous range of values of an input signal is divided into non-overlapping subranges, and a discrete value of the output is uniquely assigned to each subrange. Whenever the signal value falls within a given subrange, the output has the corresponding discrete value.
