A) A bit stream containing compressed video, audio, and timing information. b) Multiplex of several audio and video PES using the same clock. c) Combines one or more packetized elementary streams (PES), which have a common time base into a single stream. The programme stream was designed for use in relatively error-free environments, and is suitable for applications which may involve software processing. programme stream packets may be of variable length.
