Non-uniform b-splines (NURBS)
A superset of both Bézier and Uniform B-Splines. NURBS introduces the feature of non-uniformity. Thus it is possible to subdivide a spline, for example, to locally increase the number of control points without changing the shape of the spline. This is a powerful feature which enables you to insert more control points on a spline without altering its shape; cut anywhere on a spline to generate two parts; and creates cusps in splines.
