Indeterminate cleavage

Cleavage where the fate of the resulting daughter cells is not determined after the initial divisionof a fertilised egg. If the cells separate, each has the potential to develop into an entire organism and the resulting individuals are genetically identical (identical twins). Inderterminate cleavage is characteristic of deuterostomes.
