The shape of objects in a picture, as opposed to the picture itself (aspect ratio). With good geometry, a picture of a square is square.

With poor geometry, a square might be rectangular, trapezoidal, pillowshaped, or otherwise distorted. Some ATV schemes propose minor adjustments in geometry for aspect ratio accommodation.
