Albinism

Hereditary absence of pigment in an organism. Albino animals have no colour in their skin, scales, hairs and eyes. The term is also used for absence of chlorophyll in plants. Some organisms exhibit partial albinism. White tigers, for example, possess black stripes on a white background.
