The Del Rey Group’s ATV scheme, comprised primarily of a quincunx scanning scheme referred to as Tri-Scan, which would subsample each NTSC pixel three times, in a triangular fashion, for increased vertical and horizontal static resolution, at an effective 10 frame-per-second rate. Blanking adjustment is used for aspect ratio accommodation.
