Mirrored protection
A function that protects data by duplicating all disc data in an auxiliary storage pool (ASP) to another disc unit (mirrored unit) in the same ASP. If a disc failure occurs, the system keeps running, using the operational mirrored unit of the mirrored pair until the disc unit is repaired or replaced. See also checksum protection, device parity protection.
