In Men's Lacrosse players wear a helmet with a face guard. Men also wear mouthguards, and a chest protector. The Goalie in Men's Lacrosse is allowed to wear protective gear on their arms, legs, shoulders, chest and they can also wear gloves. In Women's Lacrosse it is only the goalie who wears protective clothing. Women players other than the goalie do use mouthguards but not helmets. Both Men and Women Lacrosse players wear rubber-soled shoes.
