An assemblage of three cameras equipped with wide angle, Metrogon lens systems and placed with their optical axes in the same vertical plane; the axis of the central camera is vertical and the axes of the two flanking cameras intersect the axis of the central camera at 60^o to provide overlapping fields of view. Trimetrogon cameras are less used since very wide angle lens systems were introduced.
