tone level information

A feature assigned to the “quick menu dial”. If a photograph is taken when the “tone level information” icon is selected with the quick menu dial, the information shown when the photograph is displayed after shooting will include tone (brightness) distribution, shown in nine tone ranges. Selecting a tone level range in the tone palette displays the areas of the image that contain tones in the selected level range. By default, the white cell at the top of the palette is selected to show areas of the image that may be overexposed. Similarly, selecting other level ranges causes the areas of the image that contain tones in the selected level range to blink on and off.
