tape speed override (TSO)
Allows the editor to manually control the capstan speed of the selected transport + and –10% using the joystick.
TSO is especially important when tape machines need to be exactly synchronized before finalizing an edit. If audio monitors for all transports are left up, the edit point on the transport can be selected by listening for the audio echo and adjusting the transport speed until the machines are in exact synchronization.
