slurry density
The weight per unit volume of a cement slurry, usually given in units of kg/m3 or lbm/gal. Typical oil- or gas-well slurries have densities of 1380 kg/m3 to 2280 kg/m3 (11. 5 lbm/gal to 19. 0 lbm/gal), although special techniques, such as foamed cementing and particle-size distribution cementing, extend this range to 840 kg/m3 to 2760 kg/m3 (7 lbm/gal to 23 lbm/gal).
