silhouette
A scene mode that resurrects the silhouette mode found in the F70 (a film camera). If a subject is detected against a bright background, it will produce a dark silhouette. Unlike other modes, silhouette mode ignores the fact that the subject is dark (the camera does not correct for backlighting), setting exposure instead for the background. The flash will therefore not fire even if the subject is dark. See: http://www. Nikon. Co. Jp/main/jpn/feelnikon/discovery/workshop/kumon/07j. Htm.
