In e-business, for example, a “from” line on an e-mail, a mouse click of acceptance of terms, an e-mail closing, a biometric and electronic signatures of several types are accepted as signatures. Some laws specify a written signature to be legally acceptable. New laws give the same status to electronic signatures as written signatures.
