satyr
In Greek mythology, a satyr is a half-man, half-goat like creature that is described to be roguish but faint-hearted folk — subversive and dangerous, yet shy and cowardly. They were originally seen as male companions of Pan and Dionysus, the goat god in ancient Greek civilization. Their goat-like (caprine) features include a goat-tail, goat-like ears, and sometimes a goat-like phallus. In old age they are often seen with horns on their head, while young satyrs are seen with nubs instead.
