sate
Sate is the Indonesian word for 'satay'. It is basically skewered grilled meat which has been seasoned before. Sate is another popular delicacy in Indonesia.
Sate can be made of different types of meats, like chicken, beef, or goat, and this determines the naming of the food. If it uses chicken it is called 'sate ayam', if it is made of goat it is called 'sate kambing', and if it uses beef cut it is called 'sate padang'.
The best way to enjoy this food is by eating it with ketupat (rice cake) and Indonesian peanut sauce.
