s-matrix of a soil material
The material within the simplest peds, or composing apedal soil materials, in which the pedological features occur; it consists of the plasma, skeleton grains and voids that do not occur as pedological features other than those expressed by specific extinction (orientation) patterns. Pedological features also have an internal s-matrix.
