retractable lens lock switch

The name of a lens part available only with the R1810 (a lens with power drive zoom), which like the lens on a compact camera is automatically released from its retracted state when the camera is turned on and returns to its retracted state when the camera is turned off (power retraction). This switch prevents the lens from retracting when the power is turned off, which has the benefit of allowing photographs to be taken immediately the next time the camera is turned on.
