(1) In audio, the process of taking samples of a digitized signal at a rate different from that of the original recording. Specific types of resampling include downsampling (resampling at a rate lower than the original) and upsampling (resampling at a higher rate). (2) In image processing, an operation that changes the dimensions of an image.
