remote roaming boundary
A roaming boundary in which the SMS site distribution points are remote (not well-connected) to the Advanced Client and software packages are not available locally to that client. Remote roaming boundaries are typically configured for wireless networks, VPNs, dial-up connections, and, sometimes, branch offices.
