pyrophosphate
A class of phosphorus compounds produced by the reaction of either anhydrous ammonia or potassium hydroxide with pyrophosphoric acid (H4P2O7). Pyrophosphoric acid is a condensation product of two molecules of orthophosphoric acid (H3PO4). The main polyphosphate species in polyphosphate fertilizers.
