Editing, titling, special effects insertion, image enhancement, audio mixing, and other production work is done during post-production. Videonics equipment is ideally suited for use in post-production. b) The application of image processing to photographic or electronic recorded image information. Usually in addition to scene selection and simple scene transitions, rather complex processing may be proposed: montage of two or more images; integration of photographic and electronic image information; fitting and over-recording; changes of size, contrast, hue, or luminance; introduction of computer-generated components; simulated motion; creation of multi-layered composites with control of transparency. Audio information, maintained in synchronism with the images as specified by the script, is processed along with the image information.
