political futures
Futures contracts that trade on speculation of an specific outcome for a political event, such as the election of one individual over another for President of the United States. The contracts trade between 0 and 100 and their price is based on the probability at any given time of a successful outcome. When the event actually occurs, winning contracts are worth 100 points and losing contracts are worth 0.
