The magnitude of the reproduced signal voltage, usually measured at the output of the reproduce amplifier. The output of an audio or instrumentation tape is normally specified in terms of the maximum output that can be obtained for a given amount of harmonic distortion, and is expressed in dB relative to the output that can be obtained from a reference tape under the same conditions.
