oua umplute
Oua umplute is a Romanian hors d'oeuvres. It is not associated with any particular celebration, but it can be common in the buffet of wedding receptions or other celebrations. The eggs are boiled and the yolk is removed. The yolk is then mixed with foie gras, mayonnaise, parsley, salt and pepper. They are usually placed face down on the plate and covered with another layer of sauce containing mayonnaise, but they can be displayed a multitude of other ways as well.
