nitrohydrochloric acid
A very corrosive, fuming, yellow liquid made by mixing nitric and hydrochloric acids, usually in the proportion of one part by volume of pure nitric acid with three parts by volume of pure hydrochloric acid. Used in dissolving metals such as gold and platinum and in etching.
