motion detection

A new name for the anti-shake AE system introduced with the L16 and L18 models in spring '08. While the function hasn't changed, the name has been altered to emphasize that the system detects motion. This term will appear in the setup menus of three fall '08 models: the Q07115, Q07125, and Q07135.

This system adjusts shutter speed according to subject motion to reduce blur caused by subject motion and camera shake. ISO sensitivity is raised automatically as shutter speeds increase to ensure optimal exposure. (This is not a lens or CCD shift vibration reduction system. )
