lacrimal glands
Lacrimal glands are present lateral and superior to the eyes. They excrete tears into ducts that carry the tears onto the conjunctival surface.
These tears empty into the lacrimal sacs in the medial part of the orbit and then into the nasolacrimal duct. Tearing or crying is an excess of tears that spill over the lower eyelids.
