The audio portion of this format is distinctive in that it is intended for “sing along” formats and may include audio tracks for “guide vocals,” “guide melody,” “chorus,” and the main Karaoke left and right channels. The audio track for Karaoke in DVD-video is defined to be applicable for multichannel setup with five channels maximum. When this vocal part is recorded mainly in track 4 and 5 except the main two channels, users can enjoy many different playback modes by Karaoke-type DVD players equipped with various audio on/off switches.
