intercast
a) An Intel developed process which allows Web pages to be sent in the vertical blanking interval of a (M) NTSC video signal. The process is based on NABTS. b) Intercast technology allows television broadcasters to create new interactive content-text, graphics, video, or data around their existing programming and deliver this programming simultaneously with their TV signal to PCs equipped with Intercast technology.
Intercast content is created with HTML which means that the interactive content of broadcast with the TV signal appears to the user as Web pages, exactly as if they were using the actual World Wide Web. These broadcast Web pages can also contain imbedded hyperlinks to related information on the actual Internet.
