This is a rule in women's lacrosse. Grounded is when a goalkeeper's (or her deputy's) plays the ball while inside of the goal circle but some part of her body touches the ground outside the goal circle in the process. This will result in a goal circle foul being called. Please see women's rules of the game for further details.
