feature button

A button that starts (or provides a shortcut to) shooting and playback functions that are (in Nikon’s judgement) either especially useful or fun. New functions not offered by other manufacturers can be accessed by pressing this button. The functions assigned to this button vary from camera to camera. Unlike the function button, this button can not be assigned different functions by the user.

This button on this camera is to be assigned the following functions:

• Still capture mode: Mechanical shutter/electronic shutter (the actual menu will not refer to the shutter type but to the benefits offered to the user)

• Movie mode: Movie effects

• Playback mode: Rating

• Smart Photo Selector mode: Recording time and frame rate (fps)

• Slow motion mode: Frame rate (fps)
