electromagnetic wave
A phenomenon that can carry energy through space and is created by the vibration of an electrical charge, which is caused by disturbances in electromagnetic fields. Examples of electromagnetic waves include infrared, visible, microwaves, and x-rays. Forms of electromagnetic waves that can be seen by humans we call light.
