current account
Chronological, ongoing entry of the debits and credits resulting from the business transactions between the bank and current account holders, with a running balance being kept. A current account may also be used for accounts receivable or payable. Current accounts offer little or no interest but unlimited withdrawal privileges and many other services (e.g. cheque books, automated cash withdrawal, payment transfers, etc.) are available.
