bubblegum coral
A deep water gorgonian, Paragorgia arborea, found in the North Pacific and North Atlantic Oceans at depths that may exceed 1400m. It can grow to 5m in height and 8 m in width. It is called the bubblegum coral because because it is usually orange or pink in color, and has a lumpy surface texture.
