"Blink proof" is a new item in the smile menu. The camera takes two photographs each time the shutter-release button is pressed and chooses the picture in which the subjects' eyes are open.

The camera detects whether the subjects' eyes are closed by using face detection to detect faces and then checking whether the subjects detected using face detection have their eyes open.
