Wayne Douglas Gretzky was born January 26, 1961 in Brantford, Canada. As a player, he played 20 seasons professionally. He won three Canadian cups with Canada and finished second in the 1996 world cup. His lists of awards as a player are impressive and too numerous to mention them all, but a few worth mentioning as that he scored in 50 streak games, won four Stanley Cups (all with his former team the Edmonton Oilers), and one of the records that still holds is his 1.921 point average by game. As a businessman, Gretzky owns a couple sports teams and still owns the Phoenix Coyotes, a hockey team. He owns the Wayne Gretzky restaurant in Toronto and has a couple other ventures like First Team Sports as well as a wine estate. His earnings for 2013 are estimated at $12 million.
