IK (inverse kinematics)
In animation, a method of posing a joint chain by specifying the location in space you want the joint chain to reach.
IK is the easiest way to position the end of a joint chain on a particular object or point in space, because you don’t have to define how each joint needs to rotate. IK requires IK handles and IK solvers, special tools for posing and animating.
