The terrestrial transmission form of HDS-NA, comprised of a receiver-compatible, channel-compatible signal and an augmentation channel, which may be half-sized and low-power. The augmentation channel carries increased resolution, improved sound, widescreen panels, and pan and scan information to let an ATV set know where to apply the panels.
