The Golden Gate Bridge is a suspension bridge spanning three-miles-long channel between San Francisco Bay and the Pacific Ocean. It has been declared one of the wonders of Modern World by the American Society of Civil Engineers.

The bridge is popular with pedestrians and bicyclists and was built with walkways on either side of the six vehicle traffic lanes.
