Bambi "Buck" Hughes is the tertiary antagonist of Far Cry 3. Born in Australia, Buck joined the armed forces in his early twenties. He was soon dismissed due to his perverse joy of inflicting pain on others and his fixation on brutality. He then began mercenary work, winning a major contract with Hoyt Volker, the South Pacific's most notorious drug lord and slave trader. Hoyt quickly realized that Buck's ferocious combat skills and unrelenting brutality could be of value to him. Since then, Buck has been loyal to no one but Hoyt. When Hoyt needed a kill, Buck got the call.
