British Standards Institution is a not-for-profit that works with companies and other organization to set and maintain industry standards. Its British Standards unit helps draft and market both UK and international specifications and guidelines, such as ISO standards. Its Management Systems unit offers certification services to customers in more than 120 countries, and BSI Product Services tests products in a wide range of industries. The group also provides training services and conducts conferences. BSI Group was founded in 1901.
